ABOUT US

A Place for your Faith in God

The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria was founded by the United Presbyterian Church of Scotland missionaries led by the Rev. Hope Masterson Waddell on the invitation of King Eyo Honesty II and King Eyamba V.

The missionaries arrived in Calabar and founded the first Presbyterian church at Creek Town in 1846. From Calabar, the church began to grow. In 1858 the Presbytery of Biafra was formed. The Synod of Biafra formed in 1921.

Our Evangelism Outreach

LEVI Outreach Evangelism Plan

1. HOW (Methods of Evangelism)

This focuses approach and tools that LEVI Outreach will use.

A. Personal Evangelism

Weekly tract distribution
One-on-one gospel conversations
Sharing testimonies
Invitation to church programs

Training members to share the gospel clearly and confidently is essential for consistent outreach impact.

Implementation:

Monthly evangelism training session
Prepare simple gospel outline for volunteers
Pair experienced evangelists with new members

B. Prayer-Driven Evangelism

Evangelism becomes sustainable when rooted in prayer.

Examples:

Prayer walks in neighborhoods
Prayer booth during outreach
Intercessory list for souls
Follow up on first timers – call to pray.

Prayer-focused outreach helps prepare hearts before gospel conversations begin.

C. Compassion / Service Evangelism

Practical acts of love often open doors for the gospel.

Examples:

  • Food or clothing outreach
  • Helping local schools or families
  • Visiting hospitals or markets

Serving community needs, while building trust and creating opportunities to share Christ.

D. Public / Street Evangelism

Examples:

  • Open-air worship
  • Drama or short gospel skits
  • Testimony sharing
  • Gospel music outreach

Music, drama, and testimonies can attract attention and communicate the gospel effectively in public spaces.

E. Digital Evangelism
  • Social media gospel posts
  • Testimony videos
  • Livestream outreach moments
  • WhatsApp evangelism

Digital platforms extend evangelism beyond physical outreach locations.

2. WHAT (Core Evangelism Activities)

These are repeatable outreach actions LEVI Outreach should run.

Weekly
  • Tract distribution
  • Market/street evangelism

Monthly

  • Hospital / prison / community visitation
Quarterly

Relationship-based outreach combined with structured events produces stronger long-term results.

3. WHERE (Evangelism Locations)

LEVI Outreach should intentionally target people-dense environments.

Priority Locations

  • Bus stops
  • Streets and junctions
  • Schools
  • Hospitals
  • Homes (door-to-door)
  • Community events
Also include:
